A business process consultant for small businesses.

GuildHall is a business process consultant for small businesses. We map how a process really runs today, work on the double entry and missed handoffs, set up the tools you already use, and write the new steps down.

At a glance.

  • What it is: one process mapped step by step, the agreed changes set up in your existing tools, and the new steps written down.
  • Who it is for: small businesses with a handful of staff and several systems that do not quite agree.
  • How it starts: a free 30-minute call, then an optional $500 Quick Win or monthly support from $500.
  • Where: based in Kansas City, working remotely with small businesses across the United States.

What a business process consultant does here.

We pick one process that matters to you, such as new customer intake, scheduling, job costing or month-end billing. We walk through it with the people who do it and write down each step, who owns it and which system holds the record.

That map usually shows a few things worth changing: a step done twice, a handoff with no owner, a field that is never filled in, a report rebuilt by hand. We agree which ones to work on, set them up in your existing tools within the agreed scope, and leave a short written version of the new process.

Built for small businesses, not large programs.

Large process improvement programs come with workshops, frameworks and long reports. Small businesses rarely need that. We keep it to the processes that cost you time or money each week.

It suits small businesses with a handful of staff and several systems, for example accounting, scheduling, a point of sale or a job management tool that do not quite agree with each other.

Where tools and AI fit.

Once a process is clear, some steps can be set up in the tools you already have. We use AI only for steps where it saves real time. No software vendor pays us, so a recommendation is about what fits your business.

We work in your own accounts and on your own data. If a change is beyond our scope, we say so and agree who handles it before we start.

How it starts, and what it costs.

A free 30-minute call, then an optional $500 Quick Win or monthly support from $500.

On the call we talk about the business, the systems you use and what is getting in the way. If a first piece of work makes sense, the Quick Win covers one agreed problem for a one-time $500 fee. Half the Quick Win fee, $250, comes off your first month if you go on to monthly support.

Monthly support starts at $500 and scales with the scope we agree in your proposal. It runs month to month, with 30 days’ written notice to end it. You can also begin with monthly support and skip the Quick Win.

Questions owners ask.

Which process should we start with?

The one that costs you the most time each week, or the one where mistakes reach customers. On the free call we talk through a few and agree a sensible first one.

Do you just write a report, or do you make the changes?

We make the changes we agree on, within the scope set before work starts, and we document them. A written process map is part of the work, not the whole of it.

What do we have at the end?

The changes we agreed, set up and checked in your tools, and a written description of the new steps that your team can refer back to.

Can you work with the software we already have?

Yes. We begin with the tools you have now and only suggest a new one when there is a clear reason. The decision stays with you.

What does it cost?

A free 30-minute call, then an optional $500 Quick Win or monthly support from $500. A Quick Win covers one agreed process problem for a one-time fee.
